"Rachel Bressler was a delight to work with. She listened to what my daughter wanted and tailored her original design to match the overall tenor of the wedding and the color scheme of the sanctuary."

"We love the huppah! It is totally fabulous and exactly what we want. It is perfect, actually."
Laura Blum

Materials
All huppot are hand painted on 100% silk. The 10mm silk habotai we use has a soft, lustrous and supple feel, and is finished with hand rolled edges sewn with silk thread. All silk paints used are wash and light fast, and heat set for permanence. The finished huppah may be dry cleaned as well.

As a finishing touch to our custom design process, we select a ribbon trim to compliment the colors of your huppah. We have access to a wide range of ribbon styles and colors, and are happy to involve you as much as you'd like in the final choice.

Most importantly, every huppah we create is 100% hand painted, lettered, and finished. Your huppah will be truly one of a kind—the perfect choice for the bride who has no equal!

Timing
We prefer to have 3 months lead time to complete your huppah. This includes time for discussion and for final decisions to be made by you. We can certainly accommodate a rush job, and are happy to work with you to meet your time restraints. Bear in mind, that the more detail you would like to add through personalization, the longer it will take to complete.

Costs
The basic cost for a 4ft x 6ft hand painted silk huppah with full ribbon trim (this includes 1.5 yards on all ends for decorative tying purposes) starts at $1,200. This includes tax and all shipping costs within the continental U.S. We will be happy to ship worldwide for an additional charge. All huppot will be shipped Fed Ex 2nd day unless otherwise specified.

Personalization
For an additional cost, you may choose to have your huppah personalized. This can range from your names, your wedding date (along with the Hebrew date, if you'd like), and/or a quotation of your choosing. Some of our favorites include:

  • I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine
  • I have found the one in whom my soul delights
  • You have created joy and gladness, bridegroom and bride... love and harmony, peace and companionship
  • The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bride and the voice of the bridegroom
  • I will betroth thee unto me forever

Personalization costs vary by how much or how little you'd like to add. If you'd like a personalization estimate, indicate what you would like written on the inquiry page and we'll get a price quote right to you.

Size
Each huppah is 4ftx6ft in size. This means you can comfortably fit beneath the huppah the bride, groom, best man, maid of honor and the officiant. Two sets of parents can also fit at the edges of the huppah. If you are planning on a large bridal party, they will not fit beneath the huppah but will rather flank the sides.

A note on huppah bearers: It is a special honor to be asked to hold a huppah pole. If you are planning to have huppah bearers they will also flank the outer corners. However, the huppah can be stationary on it's own. The decision is purely yours.
